UNDERTONES, CIRCULATORY SYSTEM & VOLUMES

Choosing the undertones of our works is one of the most important decisions that a reborn artist must take before starting to build the skin.

If you do not know the importance of undertones for realism or feel confused about the term, you are on the right course. Undertones let achieve a harmonious finish close to the appearance of delicacy and fragility of newborns skin.

This tutorial course is designed for artists who wish to evolve techniques or/and improve the finish of their work.

I want to clarify that this tutorial course is created for vinyl kits and Heat Set  and Mediums like Genesis or BC Heat Set Paints. However, it also could be suitable for air-drying painting as long as you use the Mediums and drying retarders for this technique.

My Tutorial Course comes complemented with Supporting Videos to illustrate the main steps of the process.
Building the subtlety and the velvety effect that you can guess under the skin requires a lot of work since it is in that light appearance of transparencies where the beauty of the technique lies.
In this sense, a solid technical base will always work in favour of creative freedom since, spontaneously, your common sense and your artistic heartbeat will make harmony prevail.


You will see in the videos the whole creative process to build the Warm Undertone on a reborn baby. I have chosen this undertone because its range of colors is wider and complex.
If you wish to recreate another undertone, the steps to follow are the same since the only thing that will vary will be the chromatic range. For this,  I also included the list of colors and mixes in the Tutorial Course. You will also find a practical summary of the steps in Theme 10.
